How the Red Deer pro rodeo came to be

Rodeo runs deep in Central Alberta, and Red Deer has always been part of that story. The Red Deer Pro Rodeo brings it home, built on the roots, the people, and the passion that never left. Driven by community demand and a proud western legacy, this is more than a new event. It is the return of rodeo to where it belongs.

What do I Wear?

Double Down on Denim

There’s nothing more iconic than the Canadian Tuxedo. We’re kicking off the rodeo by celebrating the unofficial national uniform: denim on denim. Whether it’s your favorite pair of worn-in Wranglers paired with a classic trucker jacket or a crisp, matching indigo set, this look is all about rugged tradition.

Make a Statement in the Stands

Day two is all about personality. We’re trading solid colors for bold patterns, from traditional paisley scrolls to vibrant geometric western prints. Whether you prefer a classic pearl-snap shirt or a modern printed scarf, this is your chance to let your style stand out in the crowd. It’s colorful, it’s classic, and it’s pure rodeo energy.

Pro Tip: Wei’s has rows of the latest prints and patterns to ensure your outfit is as loud as the cheers in the Centrium.

Old School Cool

For our final day, we’re throwing it back to the golden era of rodeo. Think retro silhouettes, high-waisted fits, heritage embroidery, and timeless leather textures. It’s a nod to the cowboys and cowgirls who came before us—bringing that 1950s and 70s flair back to the dirt. Dust off those heirloom buckles and celebrate the history of the sport in style.
