Steeped in the tradition of family-band bluegrass and shaped by modern country’s catchy hooks, Julia Vos is carving out an unmistakable artistic identity in Alberta’s country scene. Her crowd-favourite single, “I Only Kiss Cowboys” has become an anthem for prairie nights, helping her grow a loyal following both onstage and online.

Akin to artists like Lainey Wilson and Terri Clark, Vos brings an undeniable poignancy to her songwriting and a standout tone that sets her apart. Her music focuses on the stories that matter, while her live show spans festival stages, songwriter rounds, and late-night honky-tonks.

She has opened for Corb Lund, and has shared the stage with Gord Bamford, Paul Brandt, Tebey, and Dan Davidson. A Country Music Alberta Award Winner and 5x Nominee, Vos has earned praise for both her songwriting and her on-stage energy. Her performance highlights include Big Valley Jamboree, Country Thunder Alberta, The Calgary Stampede, Westerner Days, and K-Days. She continues to impress audiences with her charm and powerhouse vocal presence, and with new music coming in 2026, she’s ready to soundtrack another summer of rodeos and small-town Saturdays.

Friday, May 22

You don’t just hear good country music – you feel it. And there is no better country act in Western Canada that can turn people country like Foxx Worthee. Vocalists Crystal Smith and Nicole Perkins embrace everything that is country music, from the ballads of years past to songs that make you want to stomp your boots and howl at the moon. Foxx Worthee is what country music is supposed to be – genuine, exciting and authentic – and their performances have been winning audiences over for more than a decade.

Both born and raised in Saskatchewan, Crystal and Nicole came together believing that women needed to be back at the forefront of country music. With inspiration from figures like Dolly Parton, Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson, they’ve built a reputation as among the best country duos in Canada- male or female. Following a relocation to Alberta, the ladies have continued to break new ground creatively, leveling up in their live performances and in studio.

In 2025, Foxx Worthee performed at some of western Canada’s standout rodeo events, including the First Responders Rodeo, Rose City Invitational, Cody Snyder’s Bullbustin and, of course, Nashville North at the world famous Calgary Stampede. Foxx Worthee continued their partnership with the PBR Canada Cup Series tour making stops In Medicine Hat and Saskatoon to perform the anthem and intermission show. In between time behind the chutes, Foxx Wortheeplayed stages across Alberta including The Bow Valley Boot Stomp, Whoop Up Days and theGrey Eagle Resort and Casino. Playing a mix of originals, new and classic country along with rock favourites, Foxx Worthee is known for high-energy shows that leave a crowd screaming for more.

As good as they are on stage, Foxx Worthee continues to record original music to share with its fans across Canada. Frequent Country Music Alberta Award nominees, the girls are now 3 time CMAB Award winners which include “Horizon Duo of the Year” “Interactive Artists of the Year” and “Fan’s Choice”.

Drew Gregory

Saturday, May 23

Drew Gregory’s music resonates with listeners through undeniable authenticity and rawness. This award-winning Alberta country artist crafts songs that reflect a deep-rooted sense of honesty and realism—qualities shaped by years of life on the farm. His experiences working the land are more than just background; they’re the heartbeat of his music and an essential part of who he is as a singer, songwriter, and performer.

As much a farmer as he is a musician, Drew brings the same grounded, approachable energy to both roles. Whether he’s on stage or out in the field, his warm, down-to-earth nature creates an instant connection with everyone he meets. His music carries that same spirit—relatable, genuine, and always inviting.

Raised in the small town of Standard, Alberta (population 350), Drew’s first exposure to music came from local radio stations and his dad’s classic rock vinyl collection. The fusion of country and rock left a lasting impact. By 15, he had a guitar in his hands—and it wasn’t long before music became central to his identity.

Drew’s dedication to his craft has earned him notable recognition in the Canadian country scene. In March 2025, he took home the Horizon Male Artist of the Year award from Country Music Alberta—his fifth win in the category. He also received the Horizon Song of the Year in 2019 for “Better in a Bar,” co-written with Aaron Goodvin, and the Horizon Album of the Year for his 2016 record I Was There. He was also named a Top 3 artist in the Project Wild Development Program and is a two-time YYC Male Artist of the Year recipient.

Drew’s recent releases continue to showcase his evolving artistry. His latest EP, One for the Road, is a collection of songs that balance energy and emotion, telling stories that reflect both life’s celebrations and its challenges. His newest single, Work in Progress, adds another layer of vulnerability and introspection—an honest look at personal growth that resonates with fans across generations.
